About
A lot of people ask what is the Lake St. Clair Run, so I figured I'd
give a little info on how it started and why it continues...I boat on
Lake St. Clair the Blue Water area and Lake Huron, so 4yrs ago I decided
to start a get together with fellow boaters. Being a Baja owner and a
member of a website for Baja owners(TeamBajaMarine.com) I started a
thread regarding it. This lead to a small group of Baja owners getting
together for the yearly Jobbienooner party. It was a success and thus
the Lake St. Clair Run was born. It now has continued for 3yrs this
being the 4th and every year people from different walks of life and
boating styles come and join us from all over the Midwest. It is based
at the St. Clair Marina in St. Clair, MI which has all the docking and
amenities needed for a great weekend of boating. There are several
restaurants and stores within walking distance as well as the marina
providing transportation for its visitors. We chose this marina because
of the environment it provides for the guests that visit. We've had
people from MI,IL,MO,IN,OH,WI and Canada join in our yearly fun we
welcome all and everyone from anywhere.
As in every year we tie in our event with the local Jobbienooner party
at Gull Island on Friday, but on Saturday we make it a Fun Run and boat
the areas of Lake St. Clair and the Bluewaters including Lake
Huron. Trying every year to make it different to allow people to see
what the area provides for boating. In previous years we've rafted up on
St. Clair. Joined in on the Black river Raft-Off. Took a trip up the
shores of Lake Huron. Everyone is welcome to join in this as long as
you have a powerboat we are not brand specific and don't discriminate.
Again this is a FUN RUN and is no way
considered a Poker Run we aren't about speed and there is no cost to be
involved in this unless you choose to purchase Event Merchandise which
is sold at cost as a souvenir of the weekend..We thank everyone for
they're continued support and will continue to provide a place for this
event and make it grow as long as they're are people that continue to
come and enjoy what we started out to meet new people and make new
friends..
